Summary:

The production was commissioned for the North Dakota Centennial The script is derived completely from the writing of Lt. Col. George Armstrong Custer'swidow, Libbie. Three actresses portray Elizabeth at distinct periods of her life: the youthful and naive Libbie Bacon, the courageous and resourceful Elizabeth Custer and the mournful widow Custer. Through her own words, Elizabeth Bacon Custer paints a breathtaking portrait of an American woman on the Western Plains.
